Joan Bakewell, Baroness Bakewell of Stockwell (born 16 April 1933) is an English journalist, television presenter, and author. She is known for her extensive career in broadcasting, particularly her work on the BBC.
Early Life and Education: Bakewell was educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, where she studied economics and history.
